Educational Counselling is not synonymous with coaching, nor with psychology or sheer career orientation. It consists in the promotion of the educational capital that individuals add up thanks to academic knowledge, professional skills, non-academic engagements, extra-professional activities as well as people skills. The aim here is to unearth the nuggets found within these people’s education and experiences in order to define a strategy for their future.
As in any strategy, after assessing an initial situation, ultimate and intermediate objectives are determined and adequate tools are put to use.
Educational counselling is for all ages, as long as what is being considered is the promotion of one’s educational capital.
We have a highly concrete approach to counselling. We don’t simply analyze a client's situation and make an assessment, but implement tools for the future that enable them to strengthen their knowledge bank, add value to their activities and improve their people skills: leadership, communication and personality.
"There are three kinds of knowledge: knowledge in itself, know-how and knowing good manners; the latter two make the former rather redundant." Talleyrand
